Here are some of the benefits of becoming a member.
- Newsletter
We produce a newsletter, "Dragonfly News", twice a year, with news from the dragonfly world and BDS member activities. - Journal
The BDS Journal, published once or twice a year, is internationally respected and contains some of the latest research into dragonfly biology and behaviour. - Field Trips
A programme of field trips is organised through the summer where experts introduce members to the environment and species of national sites. - Member's Day
Members are invited to an annual member's day in the Autumn with talks, slide shows, exhibitions of member's photos, stalls and a chance to meet like minded naturalists. - Recording
You will receive details of how to take part in the dragonfly recording network that monitors British dragonflies. - Conservation
By joining, you will be supporting a wetland conservation society that is a valued advisor to government agencies, the RSPB, The National Trust and private landowners. - Local Groups
You will receive details of your local group where you can meet other members.
Membership costs £15 for a UK member (£20 for an overseas member). If you would like to join we have a printable membership application form (a 49Kb .pdf document). Please send the completed form with a cheque or postal order made out to the British Dragonfly Society to the address on the form.
